Acne scar treatments.?

I have been affected by moderate acne for the past five years and it has taken a toll on my skin condition. The scars I have accumulated are not very severe and I have no ';icepick'; scars. However, the skin on my face looks very uneven under light or even normal conditions. Kind of like the texture of a piece of paper that was dried after been submerged in water.





I am currently looking into one of two type of treatments that I could perform at home for relatively small amounts of money. One is called needling, which is the use of a roller or stamp covered in hundreds of needles about 0.5 to 0.8mm in height. The procedure is supposed to create microscopic wounds in the sub-dermal tissue thus promoting the body's healing process making new networks of connective tissues such as collagen as a byproduct thus smoothing out scars in a relatively short period of time.





The other type of treatment I am looking at is the use of chemical peels. The basic concept is the same as the skin roller, but I am not sure which chemical peel to use and at what concentration because there are so many products out there and it is very confusing and I would not want to find out the hard way what would happen if I chose the wrong product to use.
